Acupuncture and Ear Acupuncture

Acupuncture methods used at Bliss Clinic include:

Please note: At Bliss Clinic, acupuncture treatments are often used in combination with chiropractic treatment methods in order to get optimal results.

The Nogier System or Auriculoacupuncture

The Nogier system of ear acupuncture was developed by a French neurologist, Dr. Paul Nogier. He took the map of the Chinese ear acupuncture points, showing corresponencies to all parts of the body, and subjected them to the scrutiny of Western neurology and brain scanning. He not only found that the Chinese ear points were highly accurate but he also discovered entirely new ear points and mappings of the humanbody and its organs. Especially, he discovered new ways which allow chronic pain and chronic disease to be treated efffectively via the ear. He found that, wheras the traditional Chinese ear points worked well for acute conditions, they did not give lasting results for chronic pain and disease. His new mappings helped to explain this phenomenon and they also offered whole new ways of effectively treating chronic pain via the ear with vastly improved results.

Arthritis of hip and knee…disc herniations, depression…

Dr. Bliss uses the Nogier system on a case by case basis. Over the years he has been able to achieve excellent clinical results with some of the following conditions: pain -even severe chronic pain– from arthritis of hip and knee joints as well as the pain from intervertebral disc herniations. Good results can also come in treating depression via the ear. Usually the results of treatment with ear acupuncture come very quickly, sometimes immediately.
